Terms of use
ScanTheLink provides automated website and public profile scans. Results are operational guidance and estimates, not legal, tax, financial, security certification, or guaranteed SEO advice.
Public beta
ScanTheLink is currently a public beta and research project. Features, pricing, access rules, reports, scores, data sources, limits, and availability may change at any time. Free VIP beta scans are offered for testing and feedback; a request does not guarantee delivery, turnaround time, or future access.
Allowed use
Only scan websites, channels, pages, or public profiles that you own, manage, or are authorized to analyze. Do not scan private systems, restricted systems, abusive targets, or infrastructure where automated checks are not permitted. ScanTheLink may refuse targets when public crawl rules or abuse signals indicate that scanning should not continue.
Reports and estimates
Reports combine public measurements, provider responses, and benchmark-based estimates. Measured data and estimates should remain clearly separated. Scores and impact values are directional and can change when providers, network conditions, or connected data change.
No warranty and no reliance
Reports are provided for informational testing purposes only. You remain responsible for reviewing findings, deciding whether an action is appropriate, and validating changes before using them in production, client work, legal matters, financial planning, advertising, SEO decisions, or security-sensitive contexts.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScanTheLink and its operator are not liable for indirect loss, lost revenue, lost ranking, lost traffic, lost data, business interruption, third-party claims, or decisions made based only on beta reports. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Accounts and pilot access
Magic-link accounts can save reports and claim eligible guest scans. Full Scan and Pro/Agency access are manual pilot workflows. A pilot request does not create a paid subscription.
Pricing status
Free Basic scans and free VIP beta requests are available during the public beta. Payment collection remains disabled unless intentionally activated later with a separate launch review and test plan.
Availability
The service depends on queues, workers, network access, and third-party APIs. Temporary failures, timeouts, provider limits, and stale external data can happen. The scanner should fail safely and show clear status where possible.
Abuse and security
We may limit, suspend, revoke, or refuse access when scans appear abusive, automated beyond intended use, legally risky, harmful, or inconsistent with product security. Admin actions should be auditable.
